Cowboy Camper

$495.00 -- Cash Only or PayPal -- Small Cowboy Camper travel trailer. Approximately 10 ft x 6.5 ft x 6.5ft. Single Axel. About 1952 -- 1958 year vintage camper Shasta Pony Express vintage camper. Research done recently indentifies this as a model that was offered without an interior, but as a "Do It Yourself Interior," versus the "Shasta Westerner" with an interior -- thereis an indication that Shasta purchased the company afterwards and sold them as an Shasta Airflyte with silver wings extending outward from the top rear corners. Overall exterior condition is in tact for an old camper. There is no title; it can still be registered without any problem. I will provide a Bill of Sale, with my contact information; this is sufficient to register it for a license plate. Lampasas County License Registration Office provided me a temporay moving permit for five dollars -- shouldn't be a problem obtaining one to move it to your location, as it is already on record.

I saw a couple of these older models on EBAY that have been RESTORED selling between $3,500 to $5,000 with many bids. Just search for "Vintage Campers" and one can see for yourselves.

Tires ( 215 x 75 x 14 six lug) will stay inflated for over three days, however I would be leary of them to move for long distances -- Replacing them is recommended. I moved it for 3 miles on the hot asphalt without any problems. I'll throw in a spare tire with 6 lug rim 205 x 75 x 14 . You can find very good used trailer tires on this Craigslist very cheap. A set of new tires can be purchased at "Discount Tires" for 168.00 mounted - or $150.00 for a set of 205 x 75 x 14 mounted -- these would match the spare tire.

The inside is somewhat bare, some exceptions; there are no damaged interior siding, but just stripped. There are no appliances and the internal and external wiring are questionable. There are shelves, bins with working doors, and a bed rack still in tact. The large square hole in the side is for a small airconditioner. There are two propane bottle racks mounted on the front frame close to the hitch.

Great to fixup for hunting, fishing, or very temporary living. It can be used for an enclosed utility storage trailer also. Camper is located in Copperas Cove between Kempner off of West Hiway 190, It is readily accessible for viewing.

Has four neat aluminum fishing rod cannisters-- tubes mounted underneath the body.
